10 on Tuesday | So much to say

I have so much to say I keep thinking in Facebook status' so I will just put my random thoughts into a 10 on tuesday post.

1. I bought my tickets to Hunger Games last night and I am wayyyyy excited!!

2. No matter how hard you try, you cannot suck in fat arms.

3. Teenagers just might be the death of me.

4. Before I got married everyone told me how hard marriage was but seriously NO ONE told me how HARD being a parent would be. Justwhen I thought we were coming out of the hard busy little kid phase we are dealing with a whole new set of issues that are even harder...I never thought I would look back on little kids driving me crazy as the easy time of life!

5. I am worried that I have missed some of the core teachings in my older kids, because I was to frazzled dealing with being a mom to 4 busy kids and now it is too late to play make-up and force it down them because they have already become who they are! Crap!

6. Why does cold cereal have to have so many calories in it? 170 calories for 3/4 cup. Seriously, who eats only 3/4 c of cold cereal.

7. I think I should get off the computer and go for a walk but I am afraid I will need to go to the bathroom and have to turn around...a real conundrum!

8. My son has saved and earned over $300 fixing broken iPod's. He wants to sell his Kindle Fire and buy an iPad. It seems like a waste of money to me...should I let him do it?

9. I really really really want a new camera. I just can't justify spending the money when I live in a travel trailer and the cost of the new camera would cover like 3 months rent in a house. Anyone want to help me out here? I am open for donations!

10. These are things I could have out on facebook so I plan to have an enormous amount of comment responses to these, so get typing!!

let him buy the ipad. He has worked hard for that money. My kids follow the Dave Ramsey give/save/spend. as long as he's paid his tithing. It will be a good lesson on saving up money for something you reallly want instead of spending it on stupid little crap at Target. And if it's a bad idea--it will be his bad idea and he will learn a good lesson early in life.

and i just ate like 500 calories worth of cereal

I love you. I feel the same way about now that the kids are older we may have missed crucial opportunities to make them "better" people. I think that's probably pretty normal. Also, cold cereal calories make me mad. ;) Go for the walk, if you end up having to go to the bathroom just knock on a random stranger's door and ask to use their toilet. ;)

I don't like number 4. Could you take that one back please?

Amen to that whole post, but especially the parenting comment. It is WAY harder than I expected it to be. As my kids get older I keep thinking it'll get easier. I'm not looking forward to the teenage years!

Oh my gosh, thank you, I needed that.
Ditto to the whole post. As for missing crucial parenting time, acknowledge what you didn't do, and do it now...it will work. Let your son buy the iPad, if he worked at getting the money, that is fabulous, he deserves to do what he wants with it...better than asking you. As for having to pee, I had to give up regular coffee, it irritated things, now I can walk again. Cereal is the best!!

1. Haven't read it, but I've heard it is great. Enjoy!
2. Sad, huh. Take a look at mine on my blog. They look even worse with a prego belly.
3. I'm on teen #4 and I'm still alive, but just barely.
4. Parenting is WAAAAY harder than marriage. At least for me.
5. I feel your pain.
6. Did you have to tell me that?
7. That happened to me a few months ago, but luckily I was near my sister's house.
8. Make sure you get a good filter if you do.
9. Too bad there isn't a camera fairy to leave one under your pillow.
10. Thanks for sharing here since I'm not on FB!

Love you coz!

Nope, can't suck in arms...that made me chuckle.
Oh tell me what you wish you'd told your kids before they got big! Mine is five and I worry every single day about what I'm doing wrong, what I should be doing, what I might be forgetting.
Can't wait to see Hunger Games!
I've got some serious new camera longing as well.
Go for that walk! Love what Michelle had to say about knocking on a neighbor's door. ;)

I love randomness.

2. Man I wish it was possible. The warmer weather means short sleeves and I'm dreading it.
4. Having a girl in 7th grade is not my favorite - girl drama is the worst. Not looking forward to having another middle schooler in the fall.
5. I think this guilt is normal - I'm trying to play catchup in this area.
6. I'm not a huge fan of cereal, but I'm thinking if ALL I ate was multi grain Cheerios, I just might lose some weight.
7. Any way he can fix a 4th generation iPod touch? And not to add fuel to the fire, but I'm looking to sell my iPad 2 so I can upgrade to the new one! It's definitely a deal :)
9. Maybe Taylor can hold a bake sale to raise money for your new camera?

#3 hahahahaha

And I know what you mean about worrying if we've taught our kids enough! It's just scary!

No. 8 rolls off your fingers so nonchalantly like we all have a 14 year olds fixing iPods at our houses. Are you kidding me???? If he can fix an iPod and earn money from it, go with it. Let him get an iPad.

Dear Kristin... you make me laugh. Not the parenting part, because I am scared. But you are funny! humor can get you through it!

my comment... it went missing or maybe I have no idea how to make it work on this?
