52 | 2012 - Kitchen

I have to admit that I was pretty uninspired with this one, I may have done better if I had given it more than 20 seconds thought but all I could think of was how grateful I am to have a real kitchen! Remember this...
Looking at this photo is kinda giving me a panic attack right now....breath in, breath out!  For those of you who may not know, e and my family of six lived in this tiny travel trailer for 15 months on the side of my in laws home.  We recently moved into a real house with a real life kitchen and walls and bathroom sink that isn't 6 inches away from my pillow!  This is my new kitchen with its odd pot shelves and window box for my terrariums.  It is boring and small (compared to my last REAL kitchen) but it is divine to cook and have counter space.  A real fridge that holds more than a dozen eggs and a gallon of milk!  Though it may not be exactly what I would want for my dream kitchen, I am so very grateful that it is mine.
Tune in next week for our Linked:52 word "Autumn" which ought to be interesting since it's still in the 100's!  And don't forget to check out all my Linked buddies!

Ahhh, I feel like I can breathe looking at your new kitchen. The first one was a little tiny.
I like the open room idea, where you can be cooking and still be part of the family (or keep an eye on everyone). I have an old house, and rooms were not open back then ;-)

Wow, your trailer kitchen was tiny - but looks like you made it quite cozy. we lived in my parent's house for about 15 months when we moved back to Florida and I had my second son, so I know what you mean about being grateful for having your own space again. Enjoy all that counter space... :)

I LOVE your trailer kitchen!!!! I know the wide angle makes it seem bigger than it was, but it's cute! However, I feel your relief looking at your new space. :)

Only you could make a tiny trailer look so appealing and cottage adorable. p.s. I see yarn!!

I hear your relief to have a little elbow room in your new kitchen. I also hear gratitude and it's so beautiful. I'm so happy for you and so glad you are part of my life. :)

honestly, i like both. maybe because there's just boyfriend and me, but i can totally understand, family of 6. wow. i was once at that time... imagine 1 bathroom & a family of 7! Well, I think you can relate to that, too!

i love that you have so much light in both kitchen! :) glad that you have a bigger one than the trailer.
