9 in 2009

Samantha turned 9 this past Saturday and since we went up to Utah on Saturday Sam decided she wanted to celebrate Friday night with her BFF Cami. We started out at California Pizza Kitchen for dinner and the off to Build A Bear! I haven't heard that much giggling since I was 9!! The girls had so much fun picking out which animal they wanted and then stuffing and dressing them!

Paint Party

Samantha and I headed up to Utah with Mom & Dad and Staci & Tony to paint Gram's House. We all had a great time inspite of the fact that we need a massage after the work we did. We painted the entire house trim and all to get the Lufkin stink out!! I think we succeeded at making a beautiful home for Gram to start this new chapter in her life. For those of you who don't know my dear brave Grammy is going through divorce after being married to a man for 17 years. He was not a very good husband to her and this day should have come much sooner. We are so happy to see the shades of our old Grammy back. She has been not herself for quite sometime now and we couldn't be happier that she is getting back to who SHE is!! We all love her so much and pray that she can make it through this difficult time.

I think this cute little lady worked the hardest of all of us. She never stopped all day long!!

Samantha wanted to come with me to paint for her birthday. She had a great day with all the adults who all sang to her many times throughout the day. We finished off the day with ice creamsinging Happy Birthday to her at Outback!!

M & M World

Having a pressing assignment due in my photography class I thought it would be cool to head down to the strip and get some cool arcitechture pictures and make a stop at the M&M world. Well since it was raining HARD we just ended up going to the M&M Worls and CocaCola Store. It was really fun and this kids had fun!!

My Weblos! And a Photo Shoot!

Brett earned his Weblos Badge at the Blue and gold dinner on the 12th. we are so proud of him for working so hard to earn this. Terry took these pictures of Brett and I when he pinned me with my webelos pin. I know they aren't great quality but I don't want to forget this, and these pictures capture a special night!



I took Brett out to get some pictures of him for his birthday. He was a pretty willing participant until the sun went down and it got really cold. We sure love this boy and love the flavor he adds to our family.

This is the only book bonnie will sit still for, it is a music book of primary songs. She like to "sing" along, it is too cute!

Bonnie loves her "Bet" she gets so excited when he comes home from school and always gives him big hugs!

This little bum like to run away in the middle of a diaper change, LITTLE STINKER!

Comments on my Mind

I was thinking the other night about the comments I leave on all your blogs, I love to get comments, and I think everyone does too. As I was commenting on a few blogs I realized, although I comment on what your posts are about I also put in a tibit about me or my life or experience. As I was thinking about this i thought, gosh I hope people don't think that I'm totally self absorbed and love to talk about myself. When I leave a comment either I think you can get something from my comments, whether you get an amusing story, a lesson learned, a little laugh, advise that worked for me or just a piece of me and who I am. I love it when people leave me comments with a "piece of them" in their words. Does this make any sense. I am not a writer by any means and I have things i want to say. Though I may not be eloquent in my wording I hope you all understand what I am saying! And as always since I thinks posts without pictures are boring I leave you with this...

Colby's valentine cards were attached to some really cute Cake Pops (courtsey of Bakerella) that I didn't get a picture of thanks to my brain after staying up intil 2am making said cake pops! They Were really cute though, you can ask Staci, Kyla is in Colby's class an therefore got cake pops!

11 years young!!

I can't believe that I am old enough to have an 11 year old, but then again I was ONLY 20 when gave birth to this boy. This boy wanted nothing more than an IPod touch for his birthday so much that he did nothing but clean my house for 2 weeks solid. I never did a dish or vacuumed a carpet!! He pretty much figured that since he didn't ask for anything else that he would get said IPod. I decided to disguise it when we gave it to him. I cut out a compartment of sorts in a book and stashed it in there and then wrapped it. The look on his face was priceless when he opened "A BOOK?!?" then when I said Open the book this was the truly priceless face!!

Bad Bonnie!

My laptop is currently at the laptop hospital. Bonnie thought it would be a good idea to throw my laptop off the couch. I have lots to blog about namely my eldest child had a big birthday but i can't upload my pictures because no laptop or photo software!! I hope to have it back in a week or so stay tuned.

B-utiful

We had a beautiful full double rainbow today. It was sprinkling on and off today and on my way home from Wal-mart i saw these babies. I had to hurry home to grab my camera but luckily they didn't disappear before I was able to capture it!!
