I have been having a wonderful time up here in Oregon having lots of "family time"  My brothers and their family's along with my parents and I had a fun Bar-B-Que on the 4th.  This is just a hodge podge of photos of my family!

52 | 2012 - Red, White & Blue

I had plans to post a lovely photo of the old stars and stripes from our recent 4th of July celebrations but I am living like a single mom right now missing my true love who is probably just living it up with his new pal, who just happens to be blue and white...add a red shirt and there you have it...

S'mores

 I was scrolling though my pictures and realized I am so behind in blogging.  While I spend the next 3 weeks of my 4 week vacation up here in Oregon I will try to get caught up!! 

Anyway...WAAAYYYY back in April we had a Conk family home evening activity and we roasted marshmallows and made s'mores. 

Terry pulled out the old guitar and sang us a tune while I snapped some photos of the family!  

Colby's Baptism

I have not abandoned this ol' blog, I just don't know why it's so dang hard for me to blog or even take photos in May and June, but it seems to happen every year.  School gets out and I just want to veg out. This year has been no different except for the fact that I didn't get to veg out.  For the past 3 weeks we have been working on moving into our very one REAL LIFE house. No more trailer dwelling for me!  Life has been full of other things too, like school concerts, girls camp, birthday celebrations and most importantly the baptism of Mr. Colby Ryan Conk.
It was a wonderful day that began with a luncheon with those that were able to come followed by the baptism at the chapel.  Colby was baptized and confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints by his dad Terry Kay Conk.  We were so happy to have so much love and support from our family.  This boy is so loved by all who come in contact with him and since the day he was born we knew he is a very special spirit.  That became even more apparent in the blessing his father gave him when he was confirmed and received the Gift of the Holy Ghost.  If you have no idea what I am talking about you can read about it here. The Spirit was so strong and tears were streaming as I listened to the beautiful blessing.  I am so proud of Colby's decision to be baptized and am so lucky to be the mom of this amazing kid.  He will do great things in this world in spite of having me for a mother!  We sure love this boy and look forward to watching the boy grow into a man! 

motherhood.

Motherhood is a sacred thing.  It is a gift and a privilege to be part of this exclusive club of women.  Sometimes I don't feel worthy of the title of mother because it is the hardest thing I have or will ever have done.  It is also the most important thing I will do in this life.  Motherhood should be celebrated and honored.  I consider myself lucky to be friends with Heather and Lesli, 2 amazing Mothers!

52|2012 - Angry

Honestly, this weeks theme is so not how I am feeling right now!! I don't think I could get angry, let alone portray it in a photo! The current list of why of couldn't not be angry...

1.  The end of my current situation is sight.  I don't think I have been in this good of a mood for a year!
2.  I just spent $15 on itunes buying teeny bopper music that just makes me feel 13 again and want to dance!
3.  My daughter thinks I am so cool because I like to listen to this stuff!
4.  Big things are coming for my photography business with Heather...True Photography!
5.  I just placed an order for a new lens for my camera!! New photo equipment always makes me so happy!
6.  Brett's grades are better than they have been all year!
7.  I'm going shopping for a washer and dryer!
8.  This boy is about to have a birthday tomorrow and he so very rarely makes me ANGRY!
